Dumbo II was the planned direct-to-video sequel to Disney's 1941 film Dumbo. It was revealed in 2001 and set to be directed by Robert C. Ramirez. After years of delay, it was cancelled in 2006 by John Lasseter, who had been named CCO of Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film would have taken place one day after the end of the original film. Dumbo and a group of young circus animals at different childhood stages get separated from the troupe. They venture through the city to get back, while also evading the animal control officer pursuing them. The film also would have explained what happened to Dumbo's father.

A storyboard reel depicts a scene where the animals escape from the officer in a candy factory. The giraffe (who might be a stand-in for Dot the zebra) has been eating sweets from a conveyor belt.
