The Emperor's New School is a spin-off series of the 2000 Disney animated feature film, The Emperor's New Groove. It aired on the Disney Channel from January 2006 to November 2008. Three of the film's cast members returned for the entire show, while John Goodman reprised his role as Pacha for season 2.
Like Lilo & Stitch: The Series, it takes place after the events of the film but bares a different continuity to that of the direct-to-video sequel Kronk's New Groove, in which Kuzco attends school in order to get back on the throne, but Yzma is the principal and plans to get him away at all costs.

Yzma's initial plans to get rid of Kuzco involve turning him into a hippopotamus that will be put on a diet and then overfed to becoming so fat that he can barely move.
Step 1: Turn Kuzco into a hippo.
Step 2: Put that hippo on a diet.
Step 3: Invite the hippo over for dinner.
Step 4: Feed him...
