Adventure Time is an 11-minute animated series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. Since its first airing in 2010, it has become a cult phenomenon, proving one of Cartoon Network's biggest successes in ratings and reviews. After the show's conclusion, a sequel series titled Adventure Time: Distant Lands started airing on HBO Max in 2020.

The series takes place in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo, where young Finn, the only human being in the land, and his shape-shifting dog named Jake go on adventures whenever they need to or feel like it, meeting friends and enemies along the way like candy princess Bubblegum, vampire queen Marceline and the misguided Ice King.

TV series

Business Time (S01E08)

While the Business Men work for them, Finn and Jake get fatter with ice cream as they play video games on BMO. They play with their bellies until they find out that the Business Men are capturing the Fluffy People. After Finn decides to re-hire the Business Men and reform them, Jake shape-shifts back to normal. Finn tries the same, but fails.

Storytelling (S02E05)

Finn gives Jake a vegetable soup in hopes of curing his sickness. Once he drank it all he ends up with a round belly. Jake thought he was cured but he then threw up the whole soup.

The Pods (S02E13)

Jake stuffs himself with ice cream on two different occasions. In another scene, Finn uses the piglets' ice cream allergy against them, which makes them explode.

Ghost Princess (S03E24)

A flashback shows that Clarence died by eating so much soft cheese that he exploded.

Play Date (S05E40)

Ice King looks less skinny than usual when he agrees to leave Finn and Jake alone.

Earl of Lemongrab

He had gained a massive amount of weight (and tyranny) in Too Old (S0531), continuing until his defeat in Lemonhope (S05E50-51).

Food Chain (S06E07)

While they have been transformed into birds by Magic Man, Finn and Jake become very full from eating caterpillars. This makes Finn unable to fly properly when a larger bird attacks.

Ketchup (S09E11)

Marceline tells BMO a modified story of what she did before Ooo was transformed by elemental magic. It ends with Rock Star Girl (herself) succumbing to the potato curse (elemental magic).
