Powerpuff Girls Z is an anime spin-off of the American animated series The Powerpuff Girls that ran for one year from July 1, 2006.
The series takes place in Tokyo City (New Townsville in English language versions), where the son of Professor Utonium turns three ordinary girls into Hyper Blossom, Rolling Bubbles, and Powered Buttercup by accident when trying to destroy a glacier with Chemical Z.
