Zatanna Zatara is a superheroine from DC Comics created by Gardner Fox and Murphy Anderson, first appearing in 1964. A member of the Justice League, she is a powerful magic user who casts spells by speaking backwards. She is also the daughter of Giovanni "John" Zatara, a superhero magician who appeared in comics years before her, starting with the first issue of Action Comics in 1938.
Crooks – Handle with Care (Action Comics Vol. 1 #53, 1942)
Safe House (Countdown to Final Crisis #18, 2007)
The Zatanna of Earth-51 has a heavier body type, seemingly because the Justice League retired years ago.
Symmetry (Zatanna Vol. 2 #12, 2011)
Zatanna learns that she has to use spells in the form of palindromes to defeat Backslash and makes him puff up with the last one.
