Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is a video game released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Co-developed by Square and Nintendo, it is the first role-playing video game to feature the setting and characters from the Super Mario franchise. When Bowser's castle is taken over by a treacherous horde of sentient weapons known as the Smithy Gang, Mario must gather the seven fractured pieces of the mystical Star Road and restore order to his world with the help of allies, old and new.

A complete remake of the game with updated graphics and enhanced gameplay mechanics was released 27 years later for the Nintendo Switch in November 2023 simply as Super Mario RPG.

On Yo'ster Isle, Mario can feed a baby Yoshi (known as "Baby Fat" in the game's official strategy guide) any extra Yoshi Cookies he has collected. After feeding him 30 cookies, the Yoshi will grow considerably fatter. When fed even more cookies at this point, the Yoshi will lay eggs that can hatch into additional inventory items for Mario to use.
