Lobo is a DC Comics character created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, appearing in 1983. First written as a villainous alien, he was later rewritten as an antiheroic bounty hunter to parody "grim and gritty" Marvel heroes. He is very strong and incredibly violent in a darkly humorous way.
