Shade, the Changing Man is a DC Comics superhero first appearing in 1977. He was created by Steve Ditko, but the first volume was cut short. He was later reinvented in 1990 by Peter Milligan and Chris Bachalo, receiving a new series printed by the DC imprint Vertigo Comics. Originally from the planet Meta, Rac Shade fights evil by using his M-Vest, which can alter reality.
