Tom and Jerry is an American animated series of short films created in 1940 by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbara. The original series is important for having won seven Academy Awards, tying it with Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies as the most-awarded theatrical animated series.

The series also won more Oscars than any other animated series.

Tom inflates himself with a tourniquet trying to stop the "bleeding" after thinking that he becomes insane again by "stabbing himself in the chest"

This episode is in fact a reference to "Mouse Wreckers".

Part of a series of Brazil exclusive bumpers promoting healthy living using classic Hanna Barbera and Cartoon Network characters. Jerry stuffs himself with food from the fridge, and is unable to fit in his mouse hole. While attempting to squeeze inside, Tom sneaks up on him from behind.
