A Pup Named Scooby-Doo is a cartoon series created by Tom Ruegger as the eight incarnation of the Scooby-Doo cartoon, airing from September 1988 to August 1991. Like numerous cartoon spin-offs at the time, the show de-ages the original characters to children while adding a more comic, traditional cartoon style to the series akin to Tex Avery and Bob Clampett, as well as self-parody on the whole franchise.
