Unico is a manga series created by Osamu Tezuka, running in Lyrica from 1976 to 1979. Animated films were also released after it ended. It follows a baby unicorn named Unico, who has the special ability to make others happy. The goddess Venus, jealous of the happiness he brings to his mortal friend Psyche, wants him gone. She commands Zephyrus (or the West Wind) to take him to oblivion. Zephyrus takes pity on Unico and instead carries him to different places across space and time. Whenever the gods catch on to his whereabouts, Zephyrus takes him somewhere else to protect him. Sadly, Unico never remembers the friends he makes, as his memories are wiped each time he arrives somewhere new.
A Hometown Visit (Chapter 5)
Unico's sister Corn binge eats from the mountain of food and quickly gets fat. She returns to her original weight after Unico leaves.
