Wacky Races
Wacky Races is an American television series created by Hanna-Barbera Productions and Heatter-Quigley Productions. It ran from 1968 to 1969 with 34 segments. Inspired by the film The Great Race, it features 11 racing vehicles competing in outlandish races across North America, with each driver wanting to be the "World's Wackiest Racer." Being a slapstick comedy, the show has many hijinks. It also has two spinoff series: Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines and The Perils of Penelope Pitstop.
The Great Cold Rush Race
As an attempt to unfairly cross the finish line, Dick Dastardly uses a balloon with the shape of the Mean Machine to pass above the other racers but his plan backfires when Muttley gives him a pat in his back after the announcer said that, causing him to blow back all the air he was pumping in the "Mean Balloon", inflating in the progress and deflating shortly after he crossed the finish line.
