The Secret Life of Pets is an American animated film produced by Illumination Entertainment and theatrically released on July 8, 2016. A sequel was released in 2019. As the title implies, the film showcases various pets that live in the city of Manhattan and the various actives they do when their human owners are out. The film primarily focuses on a terrier named Max whose life is turned asunder when his human, Katie, brings home another dog named Duke. While constantly fighting over Katie's affection, the two dogs eventually get lost in the city and must put aside their differences to work their way back home.
In the beginning of the film, Chloe eats a whole chicken in the refrigerator before falling off and seeing a cake on a lower shelf. Later on, Duke and Max manage to get into a sausage factory and end up blissfully eating until they're noticeably bloated for a moment.
