The Grumpy Bunny series of books were written by Justine Korman and illustrated by Lucinda Mcqueen. The series follows the titular grumpy bunny, Hopper, as he goes about his life as an elementary school teacher for young easter bunnies. Usually, the story surrounds Hopper's general distaste for, or inability to do, various things like babysitting, snow days, or dude ranches. However, Hopper usually comes to enjoy and appreciate the thing he disliked by the end of the book.
In this book, Easter is around the corner and all of the rabbits are excited save for Hopper. He never liked spreading "Joy and Love" every spring and thought hiding the treats they've been making all year long was a waste. As he got his wheelbarrow of treats, he wished he could just take them back home for himself. His greed convinces him that no one will notices if he never delivers the treats and manages to eat half of them once he gets them home.
