The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police is an animated series based off of the Sam & Max comic series, originally created by Steve Purcell. Each episode is a standalone adventure focusing on Sam and Max, Freelance Police. The humor of the show is noticeably tamer than its source material in the comics.
The Thing That Wouldn't Stop It (S01E01)
When Darla "The Geek" Gugenheek's fridge becomes a portal to another dimension, she seeks the aid of Sam and Max. After venturing into the fridge and rescuing the previous refrigerator repairmen, Sam and Max discover that the dimensional portal was created by a sentient, spoiled frozen entrée. The meal merely desires to be eaten, so Sam volunteers for the gastronomic task. After eating the so-called "thing", the dimension breaks up, and they all end up back in the Geek's lair. However, Sam begins to suffer from indigestion, before letting out a huge belch, returning to normal size.
The Final Episode (S01E13)
In a flashback explaining how Sam and Max first met Lorne, the Friend for Life, he manages to revive them from a car crash with CPR, causing them to briefly inflate.
