I love Steven Universe and think it's a modern classic but very happy for all the people with bizarrely intense hatred towards it now they can finally relax. I've been worrying for them!

I'll admit, my hate was stupid upon having watched the movie (Spinel's good!), and I'd softened up to it at the time this thread was started. I still find it to be exhausting and maudlin, but my initial reasons were petty and heck, it completely changed the game for family entertainment and representation, how can you possibly reject that? There are shows that followed in its wake that have done its job more competently and have boasted more focused storytelling, but there are indeed worse shows out there.

(we bare bears for instance, if only slightly)
