I'm currently looking through the categories I set up for my vore wiki a while back. I think these ones in particular worked out really nicely, so I'd like to suggest them for use here. What do you think?

  • Abdominal massage (Instances where anybody including the subject rubs their belly to seemingly ease the discomfort... e.g. Tiny Toon Adventures (Wolverine))
  • Age (A parent category to catch sub-categories including 'Adult expansion', 'Child expansion' and 'Teenage expansion')
  • Belch / Belching / Burp / Burping
  • Cannibalism (Instances of vore where the predator swallows prey of its own species)
  • Digestion (Instances of on-screen digestion... e.g. Grami's Circus Show, Revolting Rhymes, Jungle Cubs)
  • Gulp (Instances where the character makes a loud sound with their throat when swallowing)
  • Internal (Instances where the inside of the subjects digestive system is shown to the audience... e.g. Deep, Shrek)
  • Movement (Instances of vore where the preys movement within the predator is visible from outside their bodies... e.g. Deep, Ice Age Collision Course, Tiny Toon Adventures)
  • Neck expansion ((Instances where a notable bulge appears in the throat as the subject swallows)
  • Nudity
  • Pregnancy gag ((Instances of stuffing, inflation and vore, where the subject behaves or is treated by others as if they are pregnant, in labour or have given birth... e.g. Deep, Sanjay and Craig, South Park)
  • Stomach sounds ((Instances where the stomach makes a clear and audible sound)

It didn't pass on the last site, and it still won't pass here.

I didn't suggest these specifically on the last site.

Do knee-jerk reactions like this mean that TBCW is going to be defined by counter-productive forum politics like FYCY was? If so, I'm bailing right now.

I don't see how Door's choice is counter-productive. I'm all for organization, but there's such a thing as too much organization, ya know? All of these categories feel redundant, and would just bloat the Wiki with niche categories. We already have enough categories as it is...

I'm all for the sentiment we should try and cultivate a more friendly atmosphere than the previous site.

I think all vore-focused sub-catergories here *are* going a bit far. There are other online spaces that focus on vore without needing an expansion element and I don't think this place needs to cross-over with them.

The 'by age'idea sounds solid (as much as I'm uncomfortable with the 'child' and 'teenager' tags now we're self-identifying as a fetish site)

We're sorry, Tummygut. We really appreciate the offer to add more content to the site and do all of the categorization work that goes along with it, but we are not looking to expand into tropes that do not involve belly expansion. Like you said, you already have the Cartoon Vore Wiki which seems to be run very well from what I can see. We'd rather not have any overlap with existing communities because then people will be mirroring entire articles between the sites. It would make things harder for editors (they will write the articles twice) and harder for users (they will not know which wiki to check).

I agree with Puku and Urg. I, myself, do like some of these categories (burping, movement, and belly rub), but I do not think they deserve to have categories. They're far too niche. https://cartoonvore.fandom.com/wiki/Cartoon_Vore_Wiki Here is the link to the Cartoon Vore Wiki! It should have everything you're looking for, Tummygut.

I like that the current categories are just enough to organize by type and no so specific like a real wiki but I think the age idea is okay. There may be some categories like he suggested that could be a good idea if they are widely used or different enough but I cant think of any now.

I wanted to suggest something everyone ignored on the old site too which is a gender neutral or gender unkown tag. There are some pages where an unidentified animal expands and its listed as male even though theres nothing to show it is. I think it would make more sense to have a different tag or a policy to not assume and leave it untagged

I'm all for having an ambiguous gender tag. Category:By_gender_of_expandee only has two subcategories so adding another wouldn't really hurt. We'd need to agree on a good name for the category before we start using it, though. "Vague/Unknown/Ambiguous_gender_expansion" is descriptive but a bit of a mouthful. "Nonbinary_expansion" is short but doesn't perfectly apply to unknown-gender characters.

Alternatively, I could run a regex and replace all instances of "Male_expansion" with just "Male" and "Female_expansion" with "female". Then we could name the new category "Unknown_gender".
