Pretty much what the topic title says. To elaborate, say we're introduced to a fat character and then we later see a flashback in which they are visibly thinner. Would that retroactively count as an instance of weight gain or no?

I don't think it counts if they're normally like that. In context, it feels like more of a weight LOSS instance.

The Futurama page has at least one image of Amy Wong showing a picture of herself as a fat kid so it seems that we do. The character’s default design is slim so this might be the only exception to the “was always fat” rule unless the site admins say otherwise
