Welcome to the new home of The Fudge Yeah Cartoons Wiki! It's been a long journey across several hosts and failed transfers but the wiki is now here to stay. The wiki is now hosted on a shared server provided by A2 Hosting and has a full year of funding provided by PukupukuDragon. We are now fully independent from wiki farms like Wikia and Miraheze so we have full control over site policy and server maintenance. This thread will answer any of your questions and provide information about the transfer!
Transfer Status
The transfer was a complete success! All of the pages and images have been moved over onto the new wiki. This process took several days of running scripts but it finally paid off. On top of this, I also imported some CSS and extensions from the old site so that the page infoboxes would load correctly. And as a bonus, I raised the default thumbnail size to 180x125 so your experience should be as smooth as it was on the old wiki.
Now, there is one thing to keep in mind. I have deleted all of the comments, threads, blog posts and user pages from the old wiki. Many of them were cluttering up the Main namespace or were completely broken because they relied on Wikia-specific code. These pages have not been lost forever, though. I am keeping an XML backup of these pages so if you want me to restore your page or find an old thread for you then feel free to visit my page and leave a comment!
The Wiki is Slow!
Yes, this is a big problem right now. When you load a page, sometimes it takes 2 seconds and sometimes it takes 10 minutes. The good news is that this is a temporary problem. When you view an image in a gallery, the page does not not display the actual image. Instead, it displays a small 185x120px thumbnail. When someone visits a page for the first time, the wiki has to generate all of the thumbnails which can take a long time. The first time someone loads a page it will be very slow, but every time after that it will be instantaneous. So please be patient and let pages load, even if it takes them a very long time.

Hi, I'm PukupukuDragon! I will be the bureaucrat of the new wiki. This is a user with all of the admin privileges and the ability to promote or demote other admins. I have been in this community since 2017 and I actually entered it via The Fudge Yeah Wiki. I'm looking forward to help improve this community to make the transition as smooth as possible. I'm also the domain owner and sysadmin of the site, so if you need me to install extensions or modify the wiki's configuration files I can do that for you.
Say hello to Door73! You might recognize him as an administrator from the old wiki. Door73 was highly motivated and involved in the process of backing up The Fudge Yeah Cartoon Fatness Wiki so he's been brought over to the new wiki. He's handled page cleanup and forum administration since 2014 so he's by far the most experienced member of the staff.
Hello, everyone! I'm Argentite, the newest administrator of the wiki! I've been editing pages since 2015 and I'm eager to make organized, high-quality pages. I'm helping with cleaning up the wiki and general administrative tasks. I hope we can all come together to make this the best site on the internet for big cartoons!
Most notably, Maximillion93 has not been brought over as a new admin. While Max was the founder of the old wiki and had the most edits, his interest in maintaining the site has declined over the years so he has been removed from the staff for the time being. But if Max ever shows renewed interest in editing the site again, we will welcome him with open arms.
New Rules
To coincide with the fresh start, we have completely overhauled the wiki's rules. The policies will remain the same but the rules have been rewritten to make them shorter and easier to understand. The rules are linked on the main page and can also be found here. If you have any feedback about the new rules, leave them below or make a topic in the help forum.
What's Next?
With the transfer complete, now begins the long process of cleaning up the site's content. There are a lot of fundamental differences between Wikia and MediaWiki so even though the transfer was successful, a large number of pages might be broken. In particular, Wikia can embed Youtube videos in galleries but MediaWiki cannot. If you visit a page with a broken video link, you can add a tag like <youtube>HMBF0Dqghd8</youtube> to the page where HMBF0Dqghd8 is the ID of the video on Youtube. You can visit Category:Pages_with_broken_file_links to see a list of pages with broken video links.
Last but not least, with a new wiki is a fresh start. Once we get things in order I'll be doing some light CSS work to change the color scheme to match the old site. I'll also be updating the logo and creating a little mascot for the wiki! Compared to Wikia, it's much harder to browse new changes so I'll develop an extension that gives us something like Special:WikiActivity from the old wiki. Every step of the way I'll be asking for your community feedback so we can make this site the best it can be. Our goal is to make the community happy and to ensure the transition to our new host goes as smoothly as possible.
