Sopa Verda, or Green Soup, is a short Portuguese story written by Ângela Madeira and illustrated by Till Charlier. The story centers around a Rabbit who refuses to eat anything other than 10 green vegetables: lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, peas, spinach, and so on. His friends eventually grow tired of hearing about Rabbit's particular eating habits and each attempt to feed him their favorite food. Rabbit rejects all of his friends' food until Owl comes along. Owl tricks Rabbit into eating the food by cooking, and recooking, it all into a pot of Caldo Verde, or Green Soup. Owl then covers the top of the soup with all of Rabbit's greens and he happily eats all of the soup.
