Petia and Little Red Riding Hood (or Petya i Krasnaya Shapochka) is a 1958 Russian short film directed by Evgeniy Raykovskiy and Boris Stepantsev. It retells the fairytale of Little Red Riding Hood. The film starts with a boy named Petya sneaking into the back of a movie theater to watch a screening of the story in cartoon form. Somehow, he falls into the cartoon itself and sees the story begin to unfold as it normally does. Deciding not to stand by, Petya goes to stop the Wolf from eating Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother by tricking him and helping the heroes. One of his tricks is to switch Grandma with a decoy made from a bag of old clothes and a teapot. The Wolf falls for the trick and eats the decoy.
He's back to normal the next time his full body is shown.
