Ouran High School Host Club is a manga series created by Bisco Hatori, running from 2002 to 2010. An anime adaptation also ran in 2006. It parodies the clichés found in shōjo manga and the harem genre. Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at Ouran Academy, which is for rich kids. She comes across the club room for the school's Host Club, a group of boys who entertain female clients. Haruhi accidentally breaks a valuable antique vase, so the club members force her to join them to pay the debt. They assume she is a boy at first, but realize she is not and try to keep the truth hidden from clients.
