Mojacko is a manga series created and written by manga-artist duo Fujiko Fujio. The manga's first iteration was published in Weekly Bokura Magazine from 1969 to 1970, followed by a revival written by Masahito (titled Uchū Friend: Mojacko), which ran in CoroCoro Comic from September 1995 to the following April.
OLM, Inc. produced an anime television series based on the comics, which ran on TV Tokyo from October 1995 to March 1997.
The series' titular character is an alien creature from Moja Planet that has crashed landed on Earth and befriends an average boy named Sorao. During his stay, Mojacko's multitude of interstellar gadgets and occasional journeys into space tend to liven up Sorao's otherwise bland lifestyle.
