Imperfect Hero (or Akaten Hero!) is a manga by Nankin Gureko. It revolves around high school student Yuji Midorikawa, secretly G-Green of the Gakusei 5 high school battalion unit. Their task is to defend Earth from the invading Gurdark forces who aim to conquer it, but Yuji is too afraid to actually fight. After a battle in which Gurdark queen Madame Mayura had her horn broken off by the G5, Yuji finds that his enemy has become a sweeter person and even wants to find a boyfriend. He lets her live with him but keeps the fact a secret from his teammates.
