Higanjima is 2002 fantasy manga by Kōji Matsumoto, it follows hero Akira Miyamoto who endures various trials to rescue his older brother from 'Vampire Island'.

Akira is told about a monster called the Full Stomach Old Geezer; whose ravenous appetite leaves it perpetually bloated. His imagined version of the beast turns out to differ somewhat from reality.
