Fallout is a series of role-playing video games that began in 1997. It is also considered to be the spiritual successor of the game Wasteland. It is set in a post-apocalyptic version of the United States with an alternate history from reality. After an energy crisis, wars for resources began, culminating in the "Great War" of 2077 in which nuclear strikes spanned the world. Some of humanity in the United States survived in the Vaults, bunkers supposedly made to protect people.
One of the many perks in some of the games is Lead Belly, which reduces the amount of radiation taken from consuming irradiated water and food. It is represented by a bloated Vault Boy drinking from a faucet.
