Doctor Dolittle

Doctor Dolittle (also known as The Further Adventures of Dr. Dolittle) is a 1970 animated series based on the book series by Hugh Lofting, and also the 1967 film. It was produced by DePatie–Freleng Enterprises and 20th Century Fox Television. The show is about the titular doctor who travels the world to treat sick animals which he can talk to. He is assisted by his first mate Tommy Stubbins and his animal crew. The pirate Sam Scurvy tries to find the secret to Dolittle's ability to talk to animals, planning to use it to take over the world.
