Demon King Daimao (or Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maō) is a light novel series written by Shoutarou Mizuki. It was released in 2004, with manga and anime adaptations released some time after. Akuto Sai is a teenager with great magic power who plans to become a high priest. However, when his future occupation is determined at Constant Magic Academy, he is told that he will become the next Demon King. Akuto does not believe this will happen, but consequences seem to make it more certain.
