Cobra (also known as Space Adventure Cobra) is a space opera manga series created by Buichi Terasawa. Because of its popularity, it received a film and an anime. It also received sequels, spin-offs, and an OVA. Taking place in the future, the story centers on Cobra, a space pirate with an adventurous life and many enemies. He is armed with a special weapon called the Psychogun, which shoots powerful, mind-controlled lasers. Working with his partner Lady Armaroid, they travel the galaxy for adventure and fight against the criminal Pirate Guild.

Secret of the Ultimate Weapon (Volume 3, Chapter 3)
The genie Gartan/Galtan wants to make Cobra his servant and threatens him with a balloon fruit, demonstrating its effects by making a servant woman explode. Bellamy/Belami removes the fruit from Cobra and uses it on the genie, who explodes but quickly reforms.

Papillion sends Balm and another cyborg to take the God's Eye jewel from Cobra. After they do, they inflate and fly back to base. When Cobra fights them again, the unnamed cyborg inflates to try and crush him to death.
