Brave Command Dagwon

Brave Command Dagwon, also known as Yūsha Shirei Daguon, is a Japanese animated series created in 1996 and one of the few that was inspired by the Gundam series. The series involves a group of teenagers chosen by Brave Seijin to protect the earth from the Sargasso prisoners from invading. The show had one season with a total of 48 episodes

The Killad alien would absorb the big oil canister as one of the protagonists would quickly dodge their beam absorb attack. Once they did they would bloat up into huge proportions, unable to move in the process to be open for attacks.
