Babe in the Woods is a 2008 webcomic created by Jason Fifer. It stopped updating in 2014. Its everyman main character, Cody, finds himself working alongside a group of anthropomorphic animals (including the titular Babe, a bear); disguised as human park rangers, they guard a portal to their world concealed in the Great Smoky Mountains national park.

From 2008 to 2014, the character Penny gradually, and realistically, gains weight.
