Kill la Kill is an anime series directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, known for his work on Gurren Lagann. It debuted in 2013 and is the first television series produced by Trigger.
The series follows Ryūko Matoi, a schoolgirl who is on a journey to find the murderer of her father, who becomes a part of a superhuman high school named Honnouji Academy and befriends its student council president, Satsuki Kiryuin.

During Ryūko's fight with Ira Gamagōri, head of the Disciplinary Committee, Gamagōri attacks himself to power up his Goku Uniform, which inflates it with power, and unleash a massive attack against Ryūko. Also, every time Ryuko hits Gamagōri, his uniform inflates again.
