Yuri!!! on Ice

Yuri!!! on Ice is an anime series produced by MAPPA that originally ran from October 2016 to the following December. The show’s premise follows Yuri Katsuki, an aspiring young figure-skater who often suffers from anxiety and a lack of confidence. Against all odds, he manages to catch the attention of his idol, Russian figure-skating champion Victor Nikiforov, who goes on to become Yuri’s coach, and in doing so the two develop a strong bond with each other.
