The New Fred and Barney Show is an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera, which aired in 1979 on NBC. The show was a spin-off from The Flintstones and consisted of new Flintstones adventures with the regular Flintstones cast in a somewhat updated setting, complete with 1970's-inspired fads and conveniences such as CB radios and microwave ovens. The show was the first Flintstones series to feature Henry Corden as the voice of Fred Flintstone.
Episodes of the show were later packaged with The Thing and The New Shmoo in two new package shows that aired on Saturday mornings during the 1979-80 television season--Fred and Barney Meet the Thing and Fred and Barney Meet the Shmoo.
