The Build Up

The Build Up is a webcomic that started in 2020, created by the artist who goes by the name 911. It is about a teenager named Maru Kang, who becomes obsessed with soccer after watching a game on television as a child. Despite his peers branding him as a loser, he strives to become a great soccer player, facing whatever obstacle comes his way.

Episode 6

Maru is given a month to get in better shape so the school soccer team will accept him. Unfortunately, he gains more weight overnight after eating too much and lacks willpower to properly diet.
