If you want to add higher resolution versions of existing images, you can reupload them on the image files instead of replacing them entirely.

While this is true and I apologize for any added work, I am also trying to comply with the newer rule outlined in the Writing Articles guide, that image filenames have to be legible and relevant for easy indexing. Many older screencaps were submitted to the wiki under names like "Image03" or "vlcsnap-(date taken)", and have no work-related text in their descriptions, making them harder to find with the search engine.

Fair enough.

I was wondering about this. I learned how to correct the darkness in Archive.org books and I need to update my older images. I'll reupload them when I get the chance.
