A Kind of Magic is a French animated series produced by Xilam. The first season aired in 2008, and the second season, titled A New Kind of Magic, aired in 2018. The show revolves around a family that originally lived in Fairy Tale Land, where fairy tales and magical beings exist. Since the parents are a fairy and an ogre, a marriage seen as problematic, they all move to the real world on Earth. Fitting in and living a normal life there proves to be troublesome, in part because they still use magic.
