The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie is an American animated film based on the Nicktoon television series, SpongeBob SquarePants created by Stephen Hillenburg. The film was produced by Nickelodeon Movies and was theatrically released in November 2004.
The film follows Plankton's ultimate "Plan Z", which involves stealing King Neptune's crown, sending it to the dangerous, faraway realm of Shell City, and framing Mr. Krabs for it. SpongeBob and Patrick must retrieve the crown to save Mr. Krabs' life from Neptune's wrath and Bikini Bottom from Plankton's plan.
As part of his morning routine early on in the film, SpongeBob cleans out his body by swallowing a bar of soap and filling himself up with water.
