The Simpsons is an animated sitcom created by Matt Groening that focuses on the middle class life of a family living in the fictional town of Springfield.

Since it spun off into its own series in 1989, following a series of shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show since 1987, it has become the longest running American sitcom and animated series, with 29 seasons as of May 2018, spawning video games, comic books, a feature film and more. It has been hailed one of the greatest television series of all time, mainly counting its earlier seasons. On April 29, 2018 it became the longest prime-time scripted TV series of all time,

I, Carumbus (S32E02)

When the Simpsons go to Museum to see an Ancient Rome exhibit, Homer and Marge argue over his lack of ambition. The family are told a story of Obesus the Wide, a story set in Ancient Rome. Obesus starts off as a muscular young man, getting fatter over the years and becoming extremely obese, eventually unable to fit into his old armour due to his gargantuan size.

The cover shows Homer and Ned Flanders with swapped clothing. Unlike the story this is based on, Ned the Simpson, Flanders also sports Homer's weight.

While fantasizing about working in a Donut shop, Homer imagines himself eating a ton of donuts, resulting in him appearing even fatter than usual.

Bart becomes the pop star Tori Missouri, and, to compensate for faking his new identity all the time, starts to eat a lot more, resulting in him gaining a lot of weight. In the end, after eating several pizzas, he gets so fat that he busts a perfomance and gets fired.

Eat the Pie Slowly (Bart Simpson #59, 2011)

Bart represents his school at an eating contest. In the final, he doesn't manage to eat a single burger, since Homer fed him so much during his training, but Wendell manages to eat all of their burgers, since he will get sick regardless.

Fly Away Homer (Simpsons Summer Shindig #5, 2011)

Homer is too fat for the airplane the rest of his family is taking to the Caribbean, so his protests give Mr. Burns an idea to make an airline for overweight people. However, Homer loses weight fixing the plane, while Bart, Lisa, Maggie and Marge themselves have become too fat to fly.

Homer sees Gus Gustavson on TV, who devours a giant pile of fudge-covered bacon, resulting in him gaining a large belly. He then proceeds to eat professionally against animals. In his first challenge, he eats more corn than a boar, resulting in him getting fatter and heavier. Later on, he partakes in a shrimp eating contest against the alligator Capn' Chompy, who dies after twenty minutes with a large gut.

Bart's reign as Lard Lad Kid of the Year causes him to gain weight over the course of a month.

The Simpsons Game

Homer possesses four powers: Burp, Homer Ball, Heli-Homer and Gumi-Homer.

In one of his abilities, Homer Ball, he turns very fat and round, rolling like a large ball. Heli-Homer has him inhale helium to become a gas ball and flotat onto the air while he has enough power. And finally, after eating enough Gummi Venus de Milo, he can become Gumi-Homer, a reminescence to "Married to the Blob".

One of the items you could unlock was the Donut Torture Device. Homer has a 1 day and 12 hour task called "Suffer Ironic Punishment" that has an animation of him in the chair being stuffed.
