The reason I’m bringing this up is because i saw a couple of expansions in live-action media. One of them being an episode of Disney Channel’s Good Lick Charlie (Specifically, Sun Show (Part 2)). In the episode, Amy Duncan gets cursed after stepping on sacred ground and a ton of bad things happen to her and the rest of the family. And at one point, Amy blows up like a balloon thanks to having an allergic reaction to plumeria - based products. She remains swollen until the very end of the episode when things are back to normal.

Also, in The Cat in the Hat film from 2003, during the FUN song, while the Cat is balancing on a ball holding a bunch of things, he takes a sip of milk, then he inflates and says “I knew that milk would come back to haunt me.” and then he burps to deflate.
