Safe Havens is a comic strip created by Bill Holbrook. First syndicated in October 1988 by Washington Post Writers Group, it switched in 1993 to King Features Syndicate. The comic is set in the fictional city of Havens, originally centered on a group of preschoolers in a daycare. Later, it focused on main character (but not at the comic's start) Samantha Argus as she goes through school and makes scientific endeavors, including genetic manipulation.
