Reincarnated as a Sword (Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita) is a Japanese novel series created by Yuu Tanaka. It originated as a web novel in 2015, getting picked up as a light novel and manga the year after. It received a spin-off manga in 2018 and an anime adaptation in 2022. The story follows a man who dies after being hit by a car. He is reincarnated in another world as a living sword, retaining all his memories except for his name. He encounters an enslaved catgirl named Fran, who becomes his wielder and names him "Teacher". Together, they go on an adventure to become stronger.
