Milo Murphy's Law is an American animated television series that was created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and premiered in October 2016.

The series focuses on the titular character Milo Murphy, whose last name leaves him cursed with the well-known Murphy's Law. Naturally, every day is complete chaos, with nuclear explosions, burning buildings, and llama stampedes around every corner. Somehow, Milo manages to stay delightfully optimistic, which helps him retain the motivation to ride out these crazy episodes. Meanwhile, two time travelers named Dakota and Cavendish have the sworn duty of saving the world from a dark and inevitable future, where pistachios seize to exist.

Milo Murphy's Law is notable for taking place in not only the same universe, but the same town as Dan and Swampy's other show, Phineas and Ferb. Numerous references and cameos to Phineas and Ferb are scattered throughout Milo Murphy's Law. On August 11th, 2018, a full-length crossover between the shows, titled "The Phineas and Ferb Effect" was aired. Since the events of the episode, the two shows have in a way, become one, as characters from Phineas and Ferb have become recurring characters in Milo Murphy's Law, making prominent appearances in subsequent episodes, storylines and episodes from the previous series are directly continued, and other elements of the show are referenced more heavily.
