MapleStory is a side-scrolling MMORPG by Wizet that first released in South Korea on April 29, 2003. Like many other MMORPGs, players go around slaying enemies and leveling up their character and can chat, trade, and form parties with other players.
The plot of the game has players teaming up with Empress Cygnus and her Cygnus Knights to prevent the return of the Black Mage, who was sealed away a long time ago by six heroes.
