'''''Love and Rockets''''' is a comic book anthology series made by brothers Gilbert, Jaime, and Mario Hernandez. It is considered a seminal work of the 1980s alternative comics movement. There are many one-off stories in the comics, but two stories are long-runners. One is Gilbert's ''Palomar'', which is about the people living in a fictional Latin American village. The other is Jaime's ''Hopper 13'' (also called ''Locas''), which follows the lives of a group of characters, especially best friends Maggie and Hopey.
