Kiyo in Kyoto is a Weekly Shonen Sunday manga series that started in 2016. It received an anime adaptation in 2021 produced by NHK and animated by J.C. Staff. The series follows Kiyo, a live-in cook at a maiko house in Kyoto, where she supports her childhood friend Sumire (a.k.a. Momohana) as well as the other denizens of the maiko house.

Episode 6: Waiting for a Letter / Christmas in Kagai / New Year's Eve in Kagai

In the episode's third and final "Dish of the Day" segment, Tsurukoma dreads the New Year's season, as the amount of ozoni she tends to consume at this time of year causes her to put on weight. As she gushes about the tastiness of ozoni, her avatar fattens up for effect as she describes its effect on her weight.
