Flint the Time Detective is an anime TV series based on the manga Jikū Tantei Genshi-kun originally written by Hideki Sonoda and Akira Yamaguchi. The anime adaptation was produced by Group TAC and originally ran from October 1998 to the following June with a total of 39 episodes. The series also had a slightly altered English dub which ran on Fox Kids from March 2000 to the following November. The show’s premise focuses on a rambunctious, prehistoric cave boy and his father being revived in the 25th century by a scientist named Dr. Goodman, who, along with his niece and nephew, Sarah and Tony, monitor the space-time continuum for strange creatures known as Time-Shifters that run the risk of altering the course of history if left unchecked.
