Reading a Stephen King story in "Shining in the Dark: Celebrating 20 Years of Lilja's Library", I found out that he based his story, "The Blue Air Compressor" on a comic which he once bought that contained female inflation. Here is the quote:
Part of the inspiration for this story came from an old E. C. horror comic book, which I bought in a Lisbon Falls drugstore. In one particular story, a husband and wife murdered each other simultaneous))- in mutually ironic (and brilliant) fashion. He was very fat; she was very thin. He shoved the hose of an aircompressor down her throat and blew her up to dirigible size. On his way downstairs a booby-trap she had rigged fell on him and squashed him to a shadow.
Does anyone have any clue about this? I remember seeing a male weight gain scene from a similar old 1950's-1960's horror comic where a man got fat and then got killed be belching while holding a sword in his mouth on YouTube, but this is not that scene. I have a feeling some of you might be interested in this one.
