Dr. Stone is a manga series running since March 2017, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. An anime adaptation premiered in July 2019. The story begins in the year 5738 AD. All of humanity has been turned to stone by a mysterious event 3,700 years prior, which also leaves civilization to erode and be overtaken by nature. Teenaged genius Senku Ishigami revives and, along with his revived classmate Taiju Oki, sets out to understand the event, undo everyone's petrification, and rebuild civilization.
