Balala the Fairies

Balala the Fairies is a Chinese magical girl franchise which debuted in 2008. It is considered to be very similar to the Pretty Cure series. The story begins in a magical world where fairies live and dark magic is forbidden. The imprisoned fairy Luna escapes and steals a magic stone from the queen. Xiao Lan, the guardian who wasn't at her post, is punished by being sent to the human world to capture Luna and reclaim the stone. There, she meets the sisters Mei Qi and Mei Xue. After telling them her mission, she trains them to be magic users.
